JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for undertaking assignments to provide customer service in the areas of servicing and inspection of portable and semi-portable fire extinguishers, life saving equipment, fire detection systems, gas detection systems, foam systems, dry chemical systems, navigational aids, and gaseous suppression systems, and other duties involving the Fire Services of Total Safety US, Inc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be trained in Respiratory Protection and fully certified to wear respiratory breathing equipment if required by Regional Manager, Fire Services.
Acquire and maintain current, licenses and certification necessary to perform assigned responsibilities.
Be willing to be cross-trained in other disciplines such as inspection, service, and repair of respiratory equipment.
Able to rig-up and use a wide range of safety and rescue equipment including but not limited to winches, tripods, retractable lifelines, harnesses, and lanyards.
Operate electronic safety and communications systems including portable gas monitors, hand-held radios, and other related equipment.
Responsible for ensuring all documentation associated with assigned tasks is filled out accurately, completely, and turned in for proper invoicing and required copies provided to the customer upon servicing equipment.
Be knowledgeable of all regulatory standards pertaining to your assigned responsibilities; i.e., State, OSHA, and NFPA regulations, etc.
Maintains a high state of integrity and professionalism in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Regional Manager, Fire Services.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience:
Two or more years fire systems field level experience in the fire protection, petrochemical, or oil refinery related industry.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Have or obtain State Fire Marshal “B” License within 6 months of hire date
Have or obtain State Fire Marshal “A” License within 1 year of hire date

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: Salary is commensurate with experience. As a non-exempt position, overtime of time and one-half the normal hourly rate will be paid for hours worked in excess of 40 in any given work week.
