Job Summary:

Local Urgent care is looking to hire 2 Full-Time Certified Medical Assistants.

Candidates MUST be willing to work Nights and Weekends.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of previous Medical Assistant experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary equipment

• Escort patient to exam room, check patient vitals, obtains chief complaint and pertinent medical history

• Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary equipment and instruments

• Administer injections and apply dressings as instructed

• Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization

• Assist physician/provider in treatment of patient as necessary/required

• Maintain patient files, records and other information

• Work closely with physician/provider to receive guidance and instruction for treating of patients

• Additional tasks as needed

Experience:

• 1+ years of experience

• Urgent care experience a plus!

• Knowledge of EMR

• Great communication skills a must!

Supervisor Requirements:

The professional hired will not be responsible for the direct supervision of any staff.

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

• Ability to handle and resolve challenging problems.

Physical Requirements:
