The University of Arkansas Fayetteville campus is located in the Ozarks and is the state's land-grant institution. Annual Salary:
Salary with University of Arkansas benefits will depend upon qualifications and appointment rank and will be nationally competitive.

Description:
Human Nutrition faculty position with specialization in bioactive food substances, metabolomics and human nutrition. This is one of two new positions offered through the University of Arkansas' Division of Agriculture to strengthen human nutritional science research and educational programs.

Appointment: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, 12-month faculty appointment (80% research and 20% teaching).

Minimum Requirements:
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Nutrition or closely related discipline with a strong commitment to research, teaching and service. Applicants should have advanced training and research experience associated with human nutrition, metabolic biochemistry and bioactive food substances. A demonstrated aptitude for writing grant proposals, research productivity and established record of publications in refereed journals based on original research along with strong English communication skills and teaching abilities are required. Applicants must be highly motivated and skilled to effectively educate students. Abilities to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary scientists and research projects are essential.

Job Duties:
Creative and significant contributions through research, teaching and service are required. The successful candidate is expected to establish and sustain a strong externally funded research program that integrates nutrition, mammalian metabolomics, bioactive food substances and human health. Courses important to student education in appropriate areas of nutritional sciences will need to be developed and taught. The appointee will be expected to develop interdisciplinary and inter-institutional research collaborations with other scientists to enhance productivity and significance of research
