Description:
Postdoctoral positions are available immediately for developing new nanomedicine and environmental nanotechnologies at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, AR, USA. Each position could have ample opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations with people in the Chemistry and Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Microelectronics and Photonics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, High Density Electronics Center, and the new Institute of Nanoscience and Engineering on campus. External collaborations are currently available for working with collaborators in the FDA's National Center for Toxicological Research in Jefferson, AR, the Orthopaedic Surgery Department at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, AR, the Arkansas Cancer Research Center at the UAMS, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualified candidates should have M.D. or Ph.D. degrees and experiences in either cell/tissue engineering, or controlled drug releases on biomaterials, or development of electrochemical nanobiosensors, or handling pressurized containers for large-scale hydrothermal syntheses of nanomaterials.
