Description:
The University of Arkansas invites applications from exceptionally qualified engineers and scientists for an assistant research professor position in the area of advanced electronic packaging and its associated materials and devices that include but not limited to thick film technology.
The new Assistant Research Professor appointment represents a new initiative in expanding our electronic packaging research program. The High Density Electronic Center is interdisciplinary, involving researchers from the Colleges of Engineering and Arts & Sciences.
Minimum Requirements:
A Ph.D. in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, or a closely related field is required. The successful candidates must demonstrate the potential for effective teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels and for conducting a vigorous research program that will both broaden and strengthen the ongoing research team efforts in low temperature cofired ceramic at the University of Arkansas. The successful candidate will solicit funding for and conduct research, disseminate results in appropriate venues, and extend results to appropriate organizations. Collaborative research efforts are encouraged with faculty and students in EE, engineering, and other disciplines.
We are particularly interested in individuals with a track record of research in ceramic electronic materials and devices, along with novel use applications. Applicants who have demonstrated creativity and excellence in research, along with interest in development of commercially viable technologies are strongly encouraged to apply.
