Description:
The Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position to develop and lead research and teaching programs (undergraduate and graduate) in Biomedical Engineering. All academic ranks will be considered for this position. Potential areas of research include, but are not restricted to: Biomaterials, Bio-Imaging, Nanomedicine, Cell and Tissue Engineering, and Systems Biology. The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to attract external funding for research and teaching efforts, develop new and teach existing courses in biomedical engineering, direct graduate students to support a rapidly-growing graduate program in Biomedical Engineering, and collaborate with faculty including those at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
The department has a strong institutional commitment to lead the development of programs in Biomedical Engineering. As evidence of this commitment, appointment to the 21st Century Professorship in Biomedical Engineering will be considered for highly qualified candidates.

Minimum Requirements:
Applicant must have earned a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, bioengineering, biological engineering or closely-related engineering program.
