The University of Arkansas, with a student enrollment of over 17,000 students, serves as the states primary land grant institution and only classified research university. Fayetteville is located in the Ozark Mountains in the Northwest corner of the state, with an approximate metropolitan area population of greater than 300,000. Description:
The University of Arkansas invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Greek Life. Reporting to the Director of Greek Life the Associate Director will work to ensure that the direction of the Greek community is consistent with the mission of the university, while contributing to the overall quality of campus life. The successful candidate will share responsibility for the advancement of the UA Greek community including three Greek governing bodies (IFC, NPHC, and NPC) and 27 national Greek-lettered organizations.

Minimum Requirements:
A Master’s degree in a related field (i.e. Higher Education, Student Affairs, or Business) is required and a minimum of three years experience working in or with Greek organizations. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with students and colleagues; knowledge of trends, practices and planning/programming; strong written and verbal communication skills as well as project management and problem solving abilities. He/she should also have direct advising experience in regards to formal recruitment and Greek leadership programming efforts.

Job Duties:

Advising the National Panhellenic Council (NPC) and their member organizations, working with the Interfraternity Council (IFC) and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and their member organizations, supervising graduate assistant(s), communicating and developing a working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders, coordinating all community service for the Greek community, develop and implement programming for both individuals and chapters, and respond to and handle emergencies as needed. He/She will work with IFC, NPHC, and Panhellenic chapters on issues related to alcohol, hazing and other risk management issues. The Associate Director will also advise Greek leadership programming efforts such as G.A.M.M.A., Order of Omega, New Greek Council, and/or Greek Life Facilitators. The Associate Director must be willing and available to work evenings including weekends as needed to fulfill position responsibilities.
