The Center of Excellence for Poultry Science consists of 30 faculties in various fields of study. The Department of Poultry Science is housed in an 112,000 square foot office/laboratory complex at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Undergraduate, M.S. and Ph.D. programs are offered by the department.
Description:
Responsible for the study of molecular virology. Research will be focused on the application of molecular and functional genomics approaches in host-virus interactions of avian infectious viruses. Duties will include performing research lab support services associated with tissue cell culture, DNA preparation, PCR, gel electrophoresis, animal infection study; maintaining laboratory, ordering and stocking supplies, and maintaining equipment; preparing reports, publications, and presentations regarding research findings.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidate for this position should have an M. S. degree in an area of biological sciences: poultry science, animal science, microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, biology or related fields.
