JOB OVERVIEW: Performs clerical/secretarial duties to a specific patient care unit, under the direct supervision of the charge nurse or nurse manager. Also assists the professional nursing staff by performing routine and delegated procedures under direct supervision. Greets, assists, and directs patients and visitors for the department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of an approved Nurse Assistant Program, completed their first semester in a Nursing Program or completion of an EMT program.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Some secretarial skills with previous experience in a hospital environment as a unit clerk or nursing assistant preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
CNA certification required or proof of completion of an EMT program.
