Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the successful identification cultivation solicitation and stewardship of primarily individuals but may include corporate and foundations prospects to provide financial support to Via Christi Health. Must be comfortable making major gift solicitations and have a knowledge of planned giving.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Other duties may be assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Develops and maintains service relationships with assigned prospects to increase funds raised.
- Works with Director of Development for Gift Planning for the Foundation and other development staff in identifying new prospects.
- Works to develop philanthropy plans focused on Strategic plan and specifically focused on the service lines of Oncology Cardiology Neurology Women’s and Children’s and others as identified.
- As a member of one of the sponsoring orders of Via Christi will ensure the mission of the Sisters is carried out through the fundraising efforts.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required. Experience with fundraising in a health care facility is preferred. 5 years fundraising experience is required with experience in major gift solicitations preferred.
