32 C.N.A./Patient Care Technician/Medical Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary: Responsible for distribution of medication per physician orders to residents and participants. Performs delegated activities; including activities of daily living and basic nursing care procedures for those we serve. Performs duties and presents oneself in a manner that would lead to high levels of satisfaction. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Deliver nursing care which includes administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician consistent with ministry policies and procedures.
Order medications from pharmacy per ministry policy
Provides support with Activities of Daily Living as assigned in a safe manner, consistent with the policies and procedures of the ministry.
Documents tasks completed per ministry policy.
Contributes to resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate.
Contributes to continuity of care by effectively communicating services provided and changes in the resident`s condition or family interactions in a timely manner.
Complies with ministrys infection control policies and procedures.
May perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Management Responsibilities: This position has no management responsibilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
A minimum of one year experience as a Certified Medication Aide is preferred

Ability to navigate the internet and Via Christi intranet required
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certified for medication administration in the state in which employed.
Must complete updates as mandated by state regulations.
