Position Summary: Responsible for providing safe transportation, delivery of services and routine vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Performs daily transportation and delivery services according to assigned schedules and routes as dispatched.
Responds to Resident/Participant inquiries, requests and complaints within scope of authority and refer unresolved matters to supervisor.
Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Monitors condition of equipment and reports malfunctions to supervisor.
Performs routine preventative maintenance and repairs according to PM schedule and safety regulations.
Maintains a neat and clean vehicle.
May perform other duties as assigned or requested
Management Responsibilities: This position has no management responsibilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or Experience
High School Graduate or GED required.
Minimum of two years unencumbered driving record required, preferably with an older adult, physically challenged population.

Basic automotive maintenance and upkeep.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Class C Drivers License in the state employed.

Occasionally required to detect unusual odors that could indicate problems with a resident, or environmental issues such as smoke.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to hearapproaching emergency vehicles or railroad crossing signals and react safely and timely.
