JOB DESCRIPTION: Via Christi Health`s rich history of serving the people of Kansas and the surrounding region dates back more than 100 years to the healing ministries of our founding congregations. Today, Via Christi Health is the largest provider of health care services in Kansas. We serve Kansas and northeast Oklahoma through our doctors, hospitals, senior villages and health services.
Position Summary: This position serves all ministries within the health system, and is responsible for the creative and innovative development and implementation of sourcing strategies and programs. The individual in this position is responsible to implement best practice sourcing methodologies, along with managing our internal careers web portal ensuring that they increase the quantity and diversity of our applicant/candidate pools. This position is highly visible in the communities we serve and is accountable for building relationships with our associates, ministry leadership,and external community leaders to deliver applicants/candidates that meet our immediate and future talent needs. Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions: - Develops and implements talent sourcing strategies that align with key workforce planning, succession and talent development initiatives and executes programs to increase quantity and diversity of applicant/candidate pools.
- Designs employment branding strategies to support an Employer of Choice image for Via Christi Health within the communities we serve and seeks opportunities to diversify our workforce.
- Develops recruitment materials and communications to attract high-caliber talent.
- Designs and maintains Via Christis career/job portal ensuring that the design showcases key organizational initiatives and culture, is welcoming, engaging and encourages applicants/candidates to join our team.
- Establishes and maintains best practice sourcing metrics for the purpose of ensuring sourcing effectiveness and quality, and oversees productivity of all sourcing channels.
- Establishes and strengthens relationships with professional associations, community resources, agencies and search firms, job posting and social media websites, diversity/outreach organizations, and other appropriate sourcing resources.
- Across all ministries, develops and implements college relations program creating opportunities for internships and student placement.
- Uses creativity and innovation to develop business programs that will drive the future success of Via Christis workforce. (i.e. Design certification programs, job sharing, telecommuting etc.)
- In partnership with HR Support Services, oversees compliance plan preparation such as AAP, EEO-1 and Vets 100 reporting, ensuring development and implementation of action plans and education to correct or enhance programs outcomes.
- Manages external vendor relationships.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory agencies.
- May perform other duties as assigned or requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education and/or Experience - Bachelors Degree is required, with Human Resources emphasis or related degree preferred. AIRS Certification preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years in full life cycle recruiting, and/or staffing. Demonstrated experience in utilizing workforce analysis to develop sourcing strategies preferred.
- Strong familiarity with economic and demographic workforce challenges.
- Previous experience with Affirmative Action Planning and building diverse sourcing strategies preferred.
- Prior experience in creating an Employer of Choice culture and placement of right role/right fit of candidates preferred.
- Previous experience in career/job web portal design preferred.

Technical Skills - Demonstrated communication, listening and networking skills required, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to manage analytics, understanding correlations between data, program design and stated outcomes.
- Proficient with e-recruiting technology tools.
- Proficient computer skills in Word and Excel required along with an understanding of relational databases, such as Access, preferred.

- Must be able to travel to various VCH sites.
Working Conditions: - Office work environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- This position requires travel to ministry locations 30% of the time, some overnight stays are required.
