JOB DESCRIPTION:

Today, Via Christi Health is the largest provider of health care services in Kansas. We serve Kansas and northeast Oklahoma through our doctors, hospitals, senior villages and health services.

Position Summary:
A member of the Revenue Cycle Division within Revenue Cycle Shared Services. Provides Administration and Management with financial and statistical data and associated analysis needed to support strategic and operational business decisions.

Key working relationships
Successful accomplishments and primary accountabilities of this position will depend upon establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of people both inside and outside the functional areas. Such people may include, but are not limited to: interdepartmental leadership, education, human resources, mission, hospital/clinic staff, insurance company staff, vendors, compliance, finance, decision support, contracting, as well as all staff and management throughout revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Facilitates and supports development of the Key Performance Indicators, Strategic Plan, and Accounts Receivable Management
  • Coordinates the development or revision of benchmark comparisons, productivity targets, procedural costing data, and flexible budget components
  • Serve as the subject matter expert within the team for identifying and defining reporting solutions to address business challenges and potential areas for improvement
  • Reviews reports to determine basic characteristics, such as origin and report flow, format, frequency, distribution and purpose or function of report.
  • Confers with persons originating, handling, processing, or receiving reports to identify problems and to gather suggestions for improvements
  • Evaluates findings and trends to support revenue cycle operations
  • Recommends establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information
  • May prepare and issue instructions concerning generation, completion, and distribution of reports according to new or revised practices, procedures, or policies of reports management
  • May perform other duties as assigned or requested



JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience
  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • 3 to 5 years experience within a revenue cycle setting, hospital and/or clinic. Multi-facility or CBO experience preferred.
