Job Description:
Position Summary: Acts as a role model and expert in provision of psychiatric care. Responds quickly and appropriately to varied crises and emergencies that might present as a result of working on a remote campus. Provides management and clinical support coaching and mentoring to staff. Monitors and maintains clinical standards. Maintains shift responsibility for assurance of appropriate staffing resources for the provision of quality patient care. Supports high patient/family staff and physician satisfaction. Supports a philosophy of staff empowerment and continuous performance improvement. Other duties as assigned. Your role is essential to the productivity of the department. Essential Functions: Other duties may be assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Coaches staff to meet standards which assure regulatory and quality compliance. Matches existing resources with identified unit and patient care needs. Provides expert clinical support to staff in order to support delivery of quality patient care. Responds appropriately to emergent situations by ensuring problems are addressed appropriately. Elevates need if appropriate results not forthcoming. Acts as a member of the first responder team. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: A Bachelors Degree is preferred. Three years in an acute care psychiatric setting. Certificates Licenses Registrations: RN Licensure is required.
