Registered Nurse - Family Birthing Center

Special Care Nursery, Per Diem position available. Recent experience required
Introduction:
Nurses perform a special role in our family centered maternity unit. You will care for expectant parents from the moment they arrive at the hospital throughout the entire birthing experience. Our attractively decorated LDRPs create a home-like atmosphere in which to share your skills during one of the most special times in a family's life. Cesarean surgery is performed right in the Birthing Center and is attended by pediatric midlevel practitioners. If you're looking for the added rewards of caring for women who are at risk during their pregnancy, we have our own Perinatology service complemented by a full service Special Care Nursery with 24-hour neonatology coverage.
Qualifications:
Must have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut. Couplet care and Labor and Delivery experience required.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the multi-disciplinary family birthing team, the registered nurse delegates, collaborates and practices with other team members to facilitate the coordination and delivery of care for the expectant parents throughout the entire birthing experience, from arrival to discharge.
Closing: Applications are taken Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., in our Human Resources office, located on the second floor of the hospital in the Main Building.
