Psychiatrist Doctor On Call

Job Details:

The Psychiatrist- Doctor on Call will provide per diem shift coverage for psychiatry consults in the evenings, nights and on weekends. These include inpatient emergency consults for restraints, falls and medical emergencies and psychiatric evaluations in the Emergency Department working with licensed Crisis Clinicians. Our inpatient unit includes 25 adult and 5 adolescent beds. Overnight shifts have sleeping quarters available on site.

Physicians with a current license to practice in Connecticut are eligible to apply for these Doctor on Call positions.
- REQUIREMENTS:
  
  M.D. license
  Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Connecticut
  Board certified / board eligible in Psychiatry or eligible Psychiatry Resident or Fellow
  Maintain active membership in the medical staff of Waterbury Hospital
  Strong communication, analytical, technical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
