Histology Technician
Job Location: Waterbury, CT
Shift:
Per Diem positions available.
Qualifications:
High School Graduate. HT (ASCP) certification or HLT (ASCP) certification. Successful completion of accredited Histotechnology program or equivalent histology experience. Cytology experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
Perform all technical duties of slide preparation, processing, embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping for Pathology review. Responsible for slide presentation of frozen sections and all functions in the OR lab. Responsible for the proper service to the patient population, which includes neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and older adult.
Closing: Applications are taken Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., in our Human Resources office, located on the second floor of the hospital in the Main Building.
