Job Details:
The Pharmacist assumes an active role in the management of patient drug therapy and the provision of pharmaceutical care. Performs a variety of duties involving the receiving, storage, compounding and dispensing of medications and supplies. Responsible for the assessment of patient drug therapy, review of drug interactions, incompatibilities, drug induced adverse effects, and appropriate drug doses. Actively involved in the education and training of other health professionals and Pharmacy Department personnel. Reports to the Assistant Pharmacy Director.
Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy, an advanced degree preferred (PharmD) and current pharmacist license in State of Connecticut. Minimum 1 year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
