This position is responsible for nursing care of patients primarily in the Nuclear Cardiology division of Radiology. Nursing care includes assessment of the patients, treatment during procedures, and documentation. The RN is responsible for selecting proper protocol according to the patients condition and past medical history. The RN assists in the orientation of new staff in the Nuclear Cardiology areas. This position has exposure to body fluids, radiation and communicable disease. The majority of work time is spent standing and/or walking of short distances, with frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 100 lbs., as well as occasional carrying of up to 25 lbs. The age population served including adolescents, adults and geriatrics, with the majority being adults and geriatrics. This position performs other duties in the Walker Family Heart and Vascular Institute as assigned by the Director or his/her designee.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED Arkansas RN license, CPR, ACLS
DESCRIBE THE SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed to work in the state of Arkansas. This position also requires the completion of basic dysrhythmia and previous critical care experience as well as certification in CPR and ACLS.
