Washington Regional Cardiovascular Clinic is seeking an RN to support an interventional cardiologist and nurse practitioner in the ambulatory clinic setting. As part of the care team, duties encompass all aspects of patient care including: Clinic intake EKGs Device checks Procedure and diagnostic scheduling Authorizing prescription refill requests Patient communication Nurses work cooperatively in a fast-paced, highly rewarding environment. Hours are 7a-5p, four days a week. Teams travel to satellite clinic locations at least once a week. Scheduled day off may vary each week. This position spends the majority of time standing (up to 60% of work time) with frequent walking of short distances (up to 20% of work time). About Washington Regional Cardiovascular Clinic The Washington Regional Cardiovascular Clinic, part of Washington Regionals Walker Heart Institute, offers the regions largest team of cardiovascular experts, including non-invasive cardiologists, interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists. The clinic has 10 board-certified cardiologists and 16 advanced practice providers who see patients at six locations throughout Northwest Arkansas. Washington Regional Cardiovascular Clinic also offers specialized valve, vein, lipid and heart failure clinics. Licensure/Certification You must have an unencumbered Arkansas RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS), as administered by the American Heart Association (AHA). A valid drivers license is required. Educational Requirements Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program Skills and Competencies Experience in phlebotomy, patient education and working with an electronic medical record (EMR) are required Minimum of 2 years previous experience working as an RN on an interdisciplinary team and previous health coaching experience are preferred Understands and appropriately applies procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise and maintains credibility with others on technical matters Strict adherence to the guidelines set forth in the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act is expected and required Ability to operate standard office and medical equipment Familiarity with MS Office and general computer skills Firm understanding of medical terminology Ability to effectively communicate with patients, coworkers, supervisors, managers and all types of providers Ability to work well with others About Washington Regional Our mission is to improve the health of people in the communities we serve through compassionate, high-quality care, prevention, and wellness education.
