Position Summary The role of the Purchasing Coordinator reports to the Purchasing Supervisor. This position is responsible for acquisition of materials, equipment and services as well as for reviewing requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information for all WRMC departments. This position spends the majority of work time sitting, up to 60% of the time, with occasional standing and walking of short distances, up to 40% of work time.
Responsibilities Verify purchases meet criteria such as price, quantity, and delivery date Reconcile discrepancies with orders Determine appropriate replacement products Confirm invoices meet criteria of negotiated contract pricing to maintain patient charge accuracy Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED Licensure and Certifications: N/A Experience: One year of purchasing, procurement, materials management or inventory control experience, required. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, reading comprehensive skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to utilize independent judgement
