PACE of the Ozarks is a new kind of care for Seniors in our area that offers a range of health care services that help keep our patients healthy. PACE serves Seniors in our communities including Washington, Benton and Madison counties and includes a Day Health Center, physician offices, social services, and rehabilitation services, all in one site. Our health services include preventative services such as frequent checkups, exercise programs, dietary monitoring, and even transportation to and from appointments. Come be part of a team that gives the best care to our community. Position Summary The role of the Driver reports to the Transportation Coordinator and Program Director. This position, under the supervision of the Transportation Coordinator, will be responsible for safely providing transportation services to PACE participants. This position will spend 80% of work time sitting while operating a motor vehicle. This position will spend 20% of work time standing and/or walking frequent short distances and pushing, pulling and/or lifting 50lbs. This position may be exposed to bodily fluids. This position must possess the ability to work independently and effectively with the geriatric population, including those individuals with a diverse ethnic and cultural background. Essential Job Responsibilities Ensure vehicle operation is conducted in a safe manner and all state motor vehicle operator regulations are fulfilled Actively monitor safety precautions when driving to ensure participant safety Perform safety checks of vehicles as required and ensure vehicle is properly maintained Ensure safe escort and care of participants at all times Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED Licensure and Certifications: CPR, required. Drivers license and auto liability insurance, required. Experience: Previous direct patient care experience, preferred.
