The speech therapist is responsible for the identification, diagnosis, and treatment of problems of speech, language, and cognition which present interference with normal communication and swallowing. Duties include: planning, implementation and evaluation of speech pathology services, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and WR policies and procedures. This position has exposure to radiation, communicable disease, and body fluids. This position spends the majority of time standing and walking short distances (up to 60% of work time). This position serves a variety of age groups; pediatrics (10%), adolescents (10%), adults (40%) and geriatrics (40%). Travel to other facilities is required.
CCC-SLP licensure in Arkansas, CPR
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Requires graduation from an accredited master`s program, licensure to practice as a speech therapist in the State of Arkansas, certification of clinical competency from ASHA.
