Shift:7PM to 7AM
This position is competent at performing all sleep disorders studies and neurological diagnostic testing. This requirement includes trouble-shooting all patient/device interfaces (hardware and software). The RPsgT is responsible for equipment preparation and calibration for proper function and making adjustments as necessary. Conduct patient introduction and orientation to the SDC including; patient evaluation , education and documentation. Conduct patient hook-up according to AASM published standards. The RPsgT is responsible for monitoring the patient during the procedure and intervening as necessary. The RPsgT is responsible for scoring the polysomnographic study after the data acquisition. RPsgT`s will assist in initial training and competency check-offs for new staff and help with on-going in-services and training.RPsgT`s will be accountable for monitoring non-licensed staff on shift for performance standards held by an AASM accredited facility.
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
H.S. Diploma or GED. Completion of didactic requirements of the AASM and registry testing through the BRPT. Must have the ability to interact with other healthcare workers, patients and physicians and possess the ability to work with computers.
