Position Summary:
Wichita Area Technical College is looking for an adjunct faculty member to provide course instruction in his/her area of expertise. Instruction may include classroom lecture, facilitating group discussions and projects, and/or computer and laboratory instruction at various locations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Home Economics Education or related field required. Member of American Dietetic Association. Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration. Licensed Dietitian with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. 3 years minimum experience in the dietetics field to include clinical, management, and sanitation areas. ServSafe certified or otherwise approved by Dietary Manager Association to teach sanitation. Teaching experience in adult education, preferred. All licensure, certification, registration as required by profession.
Applicants must possess the ability to communicate clearly in person, on the phone, and by written communication in a clear straight-forward and professional manner. Must be able to relate to students in a professional manner that demonstrates respect for the individual.
