Assist with court petitions, community education and visitation for assigned individuals in hospitals or nursing homes. Provide advocacy for all individuals assigned. Assist in emergency situations and program planning. Provide information and referrals to inquiring families. Ability to relate and act responsibly with people who are disabled and their family. Ability to write, speak and effectively advocate. Requires HS Diploma, a valid NYS drivers license and a reliable vehicle. Bachelors in Social Work or Human Services field preferred. Must be able to provide flexible hours including weekend and evening hours; experience working with people who are developmentally disabled preferred.
