Job Description:
Provides spiritual care, support and education for patients, families, friends and medical center staff.
Identify opportunities and make recommendations for continuous improvements of processes and services onan on-going basis.
Faciliatate relationships with community churches and other denominational groups, deliver education and support services for community clergy and all faith groups, manage Clinical Pastoral Education programs and other education, consultation, counseling and support programs for clergy and health care professionals.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university
- Graduate degree in theological studies
- Master's Degree in Religious Studies
- Minimum of four units Clinical Pastoral Education
- Eligible for Board Certification by the Assoc. of Professional Chaplains
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master of Divinity Degree
- Board Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains
Licensure or Registration Required:
- Endorsement by faith group or endorsing body of faith group
- Ability to provide sacramental ministry
