Lease Records Analyst I
Job Location: Denver, CO
Job Description:
Analyze lease file information using knowledge of chain of title, and basic provisions of all basic oil and gas documents affecting oil and gas rights and ownership including oil and gas leases, assignments, deeds, communitization agreements, unit agreements, etc. to determine company interest and third party interests. Input lease provisions and ownership data into lease records system. Review lease agreements for delay rental, shut-in and/or minimum royalty payment obligations. Resolves minor administrative issues with partners and lessors. Works with accounting to bill partners for their share of delay rentals, shut-in royalties, etc. Prepares assignment of leases into partners as needed to comply with contractual obligations. Corresponds with lessors and partners as needed regarding ownership changes and required documentation. Maintains and updates status of leases as wells are drilled.
Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge and experience with computerized Lease Data Systems, preferably Enterprise Upstream and/or Tobin. High School diploma, 2-4 years diversified land/lease experience.
