Electrical Engineer
Job Location: Houston, TX
Job Description:
Responsible for the design and construction of power and control systems associated with natural gas compressor stations and measurement stations. Interfacing and guiding company and contract drafting, purchasing, inspection, contracts, planning, and operations personnel. Responsibilities could include engineering design, scope development, cost estimating, development of equipment specifications, start-up, and commissioning of various natural gas compressor station expansion and rehabilitation projects. Ability to manage projects designed internally and externally. Salary commensurate with level of experience.
Qualifications:
Critical skills include:
* Information gathering, risk assessment, analyzing alternative solutions and making decisions without all the answers
* The ability to perform multiple tasks
* The ability to organize, plan and present ideas, and concepts
* Knowledge of project scheduling and cost estimating/forecasting is desired
* Ability to adjust priorities as changes occur
* Excellent written and oral communications skills
Education/Experience:
BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. 4 or more years of experience working as an electrical engineer. Natural gas pipeline experience a plus.
