Web Yoga has partnered with a Bellevue, Washington company to find and qualify candidates for their Sr. Developer position. The Senior Solutions Engineer will interface with stakeholders and internal as well as outsourced resources to develop and deliver technical solutions that will meet or exceed the stakeholders' expectations.
Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• The position exists to provide subject matter expertise in the domain and institutional knowledge for new development as well as life cycle management of the applications, systems and tools. This role works in collaboration with the company community as well as outsourced vendor engineering teams to provide consulting and delivery towards all aspects and phases of software design and development efforts. Individuals in this role will be responsible for individual project deliverables (designs, code, unit test plans, technical documentation, etc) as well as be responsible to clarify business needs and provide direction to outsourced vendor resources. In addition, they may be asked to assists product managers and business representatives in requirements elaboration. Incumbents will also review estimates and designs amongst the development team as well as the invention team to ensure compliance with architectural standards.
• Work with product managers, project managers, business unit partners, consulting solution engineers, invention team engineers, etc. to identify and understand customer workflow and business needs to help in the development of their overall technical solutions strategy as well as the development of new concepts, product requirements and estimates
• Provide software development and consultation to prospective users
• Analyze concepts and ultimately projects to accurately assess the cost of providing solutions. Work closely with Product Managers, business units and inventions team to understand the prototypes built by the inventions team to provide cost estimates for build out, to provide feedback regarding the long-term viability of proto-type designs and assumptions, and deliver an operationalized end product from an approved proto-type.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, COMPUTER ENGINEERING, MATH OR EQUIVALENT TECHNICAL DISCIPLINE OR TECHNICAL EXPERIENCES
REQUIRED SKILLS
• MINIMUM OF FOUR YEARS EXPERIENCE IN ALL PHASES OF PRODUCT AND/OR SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT WITH WEB APPLICATION AND CLIENT SERVER APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT. IDEALLY, THE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE RECENT AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE WITH LEGAL RESEARCH TOOLS, PRODUCTS, AND RELATED TECHNOLOGY;
• PROVEN ABILITY TO LEAD MAJOR TECHNICAL PROJECT DESIGN, ENGINEERING AND INTEGRATION EFFORTS WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND CLOSURE
• DEMONSTRATED ABILITY AS A STRONG TECHNICAL ENGINEER WHO CAN DESIGN AND CODE AS WELL AS PROVIDE GUIDANCE TO GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT TEAMS
• MINIMUM OF 4 YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE WITH .NET AND .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0 OR LATER
• HANDS-ON DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE WITH VB.NET AND/OR C#, XML, XSL,CSS, SQL QUERIES, AND MICROSOFT TEAM FOUNDATION SERVER
• EXPERIENCE WITH SHAREPOINT WEB PART DEVELOPMENT, FLEX OR SILVERLIGHT IS A PLUS;
• EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS TO EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE AND POSITIVELY CONTRIBUTE WITH ALL STAKEHOLDERS, CUSTOMERS, CONSULTING SOLUTIONS ENGINEERS, TESTING ORGANIZATIONS, IT INFRASTRUCTURE AND GLOBAL ENGINEERING TEAMS, AS WELL AS ADAPT TO THE LEVEL OF THE AUDIENCE
