POSITION PURPOSE
Coordinates and directs all activities associated with the daily operation of assigned physician practice areas to enhance efficient, cost effective, patient centered delivery of health care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Facilitates the delivery of organizational resources to support physician practices through timely and appropriate resolution of concerns.
- Promotes a productive and positive work environment that supports the recruitment and retention of qualified, service oriented employees.
- Identifies, facilitates and supports opportunities for process improvements.
- Interprets Clinic policies and procedures and assists managers in their implementation.
- Provides leadership in problem solving procedural processes and conflict resolution with employees, physicians, patients and vendors. Provides mentoring to promote the development of directly supervised supervisors.
- Enhances lines of communication with physicians, supervisors, and employees regarding changes in policy, procedures or issues in order to promote a positive and productive environment.
- Collects and provides statistical and financial analysis as requested by professional staff or administration related to processes, technology, staffing or other operational issues.
- Supports/manages building safety procedures, fire drills, bio-hazardous waste collection and storage.
- Coordination of new building development or renovation process with facilities management team.
- Coordination and help with establishment/implementation of customer service program.
- Answers patient inquiries about services, billing, complaints or other patient concerns as well as requests made by Quality Assurance.
- Actively participates and supports accreditation processes.
- Supports Clinic recruitment efforts as requested.
- Responsible for assistance with the clinic nursing manual in cooperation with Quality Assurance.
- Coordinates information relating to data processing and business office functions.
- Accomplishes timely job performance evaluations for directly supervised staff and assists supervisors in their evaluation of employees as needed.
- Assists task groups, which are organized for improvement of processes in facility.
- Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPPA regulations, and Employment law.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Required to have one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 2 years management experience in a health care setting.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Previous personal computer experience required.
