Assistant Dean for Institutional Research and Academic Assessment

Description:
Wilson College is seeking an Assistant Dean for Institutional Research and Academic Assessment beginning September 2008.
The Assistant Dean will organize and implement the systematic collection, analysis, and retention of data and research for planning, informing strategic decisions, reporting to external organizations, and conducting program reviews. The Dean will maintain a current data set and archive of historical data and will act as a resource for the VP for Academic Affairs and the faculty as they plan and implement academic outcomes assessment. S/he will conduct research and analysis of data based upon priorities of the institution. In addition, the Assistant Dean will provide assistance to the Vice President with projects in academic affairs as needed.
Qualifications include:
A Master’s Degree in relevant field in which extensive training is provided in research methods and statistics and demonstrated experience in Institutional Research and Outcomes Assessment. Proficiency in the use of statistical software (SPSS) and data analysis, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite required. Able to work independently as well as in a team; possesses high energy level and sense of humor. Accuracy and attention to detail and a high standard of integrity are expected.
