Adjunct Instructor, Environmental Studies
Job Location: Chambersburg, PA
Description:
The Environmental Studies department and Fulton Center for Sustainable Living (FCSL) at Wilson College seek a part-time adjunct instructor of environmental studies who will have additional responsibilities to help transform the FCSL into a teaching laboratory for Wilson College courses and, possibly, K-12 education.
Minimal qualifications are a Master's degree in a geology or ecology-related discipline, teaching experience, and ability to work collaboratively with faculty on innovative class projects.
Possible courses are:
Introduction to Environmental Science (lab), Agroecology, Geology, Sustainable Energy, and/or Ecological Restoration. Teaching load will be around two courses per year with two course equivalents per year devoted to forging collaboration with the FCSL. Responsibilities may include working with faculty to develop lab units for courses in environmental studies, biology, chemistry, or other disciplines. Additional responsibilities could include biodiesel production/education and possibly other alternative energy projects and ecological restoration.
