Position Description Delivers financial results by conducting rigorous analysis and communicating practical recommendations; leading analyses that will drive sales or profit improvements; evaluating supplier financials; projecting project returns and evaluating merchandising initiatives; delivering presentations to senior management; and ensuring P&L integrity. Assists with the creation of the SBUs annual budget planning process, including completing industry and competitive research, facilitating discussions with merchants and support teams for input, developing the financial plan, and ensuring tactics are defined to deliver the budgeted growth. Facilitates execution of strategic projects for Merchandise Finance department and the Merchandising division by identifying Customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, Managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events. This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the department as assigned and/or as necessary. Promotes and supports Company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor`s degree in finance, accounting, or related field of study
- 4+ years professional work experience
- Financial planning and analysis experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent presentation skills with an ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
Additional Preferred Qualifications MBA/CPA or equivalent
