Position Description
- Assists senior leadership in developing government and public affairs strategies
- Communicates benefits information corporate-wide
- Creates international benefit processes and policies and consults on best practice benefit processes and policies to maintain and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects for Benefits
- Ensures business needs are being met
- Leads large-scale roll-outs of new international programs and policies affecting all associates globally
- Manages external provider relations
- Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates
- Serves as the corporate benefits subject matter expert for international business segments
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: strategic positioning for contracting with health care professionals, network development, and negotiating contracts. Ensure compliance with contracting guidelines and conducts all aspects of provider relations and physician education for existing and newly contracted providers. Updates providers on health plan policies and procedures, operational workflows and participation requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years experience in benefits management, benefits administration, healthcare regulatory compliance, or related field OR 3 years experience in benefits management, benefits administration, healthcare regulatory compliance, or related field.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year experience managing and administering defined contribution benefits plans.
- 1 year experience managing and administering health and welfare benefits plans.
- 2 years experience with intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office (for example, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certification or related human resources certification.
- Manages contracting with hospitals and other providers (e.g., Hospitals, Ancillaries, and large physician groups).
- Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: strategic positioning for contracting with providers and developing networks in outlying areas
- Ensures the smooth operation and administration of provider agreements.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Providers in assigned geographic area. Understands interrelationships among providers in local market. .
- Minimum of 3-5 years contracting, negotiating or provider relations experience involving complex delivery systems and organizations.
