Position Description
The Accounting & Finance Summer Internship was created to attract top talent for the Walmart Accounting & Finance organization. It is a highly visible 11-week program designed to provide exceptional learning opportunities and development for undergraduates. Placement is based on Walmarts business needs and the skill set of the intern. Sound accounting and finance principles are critical to accelerating growth and maintaining investor confidence in our business. Our goal is to deliver industry excellence by providing independent, objective assurance and finance services within all areas of accounting & finance; contributing to Walmarts vision of helping our customers save money and live better. As an Accounting & Finance intern you will collaborate with the finance functional areas to identify key issues and deliver solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
Degree focus in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or other quantitative/technical field
Entering or currently in junior or senior year of college as of June 1, 2014 OR
Completed degree but are required to complete an internship before receiving diploma
Preferred GPA 3.5+
Minimum 12 hours of Accounting at time of graduation
Strong analytical, financial and computer skills
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Motivated to deliver high quality results
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Sound business acumen
Strong initiative to excel
2nd language a plus
