Job Location: Pinellas County, FL
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with two years of directly related substance abuse or mental health counseling preferred. Additional experience in substance abuse direct service may be substituted for specific counseling experience. Must possess complete competency in the professional practice dimensions of Treatment Planning, Referral, Service Coordination, Counseling Education, Client, Family and Community Education, Documentation and Professional and Ethical Responsibilities. Must also posses age specific knowledge and competencies applicable to the population served.
Description:
Responsible for substance abuse and mental health assessment of adolescents brought to the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center (PJAC) by law enforcement. Assessor's duties will include but are not limited to; admission screening, assessment of adolescents, drug screening, compiling written summary of recommendations and reporting the results to the appropriate referral sources.
