Access Counselor
Job Location: Pinellas County, FL
Qualifications:
Access Counselor must posses some competency in the following eight practice dimensions: Clinical Evaluation, Treatment Planning, Referral, Service Coordination, Counseling Education, Client, Family and Community Education, Documentation and Professional and Ethical Responsibilities. Must also posses age specific knowledge and competencies applicable to the client population served. No experience required with Bachelors Degree. Two years of directly related substance with an Associates Degree. Additional experience in substance abuse direct service may be substituted for specific counseling experience.
Description:
This is an entry level substance abuse and mental health counseling position working with clients in an access center (call center). Access Counselor's duties will include but are not limited to, screening, treatment coordination, scheduling, referring clients out and referring client's to appropriate initial level of care. Responsible for servicing callers that may include the identified client, referral source, family members or individuals seeking information on services or assistance with substance abuse/mental health issues for themselves or others. The Access Counselor is also responsible for documenting in accordance with company standards. Drug Free Work Place, Background Check
