CMMI Process and Software Configuration Management Engineer
This position takes direction from to the Orion Flight Software Technical Director in the Space Applications Software group. The Orion Flight Software Tools & Processes group is responsible for supporting, integrating, & maintaining the software tools and software development processes for the Orion software development effort. The Orion Tools & Process engineers are responsible for implementing CMMI Level 3 processes, training, configuration management, and ensuring project/team compliance to prescribed CEV CMMI software processes and tools.
General Requirements:
Combination CMMI knowledgeable process engineer with Software Configuration Management (SCM) experience to work with other senior process engineering teams, SCM, and development teams from two directions.
The Orion operating environment includes the following:
1. A target of CMMI Level 3 in 5 geographic locations.
2. Our SCM tool is IBM/Rational' ClearCase/ClearQuest.
3. Our Requirements management tool is TeamCenter.
4. A Graphical, Kennedy Carter iUML CASE tool
5. C++ code generator for graphical CASE tools
Accountabilities and Responsibilities for Software Process (60%)
1. Proven leadership skills
2. Minimum of 5 years direct, verifiable experience as a CMMI implementation engineer
3. Successfully completed the SEI Introduction to CMMI course within the last 3 years
4. Ability to design and implement both new and modified processes
5. Ability to design, prepare and deliver PowerPoint based, process training courses
6. Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
7. Working knowledge of multiple software development life cycles (iterative, spiral, agile, waterfall)
Accountabilities and Responsibilities for SCM (40%)
PAY:
$55,000 - 90,000 YEAR (DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE)
