Accounting Reconciliation Specialist

Must have a BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Business Management or Finance or equivalent experience. 2-years of accounting and reconciliation experience. PC skills with proficiency in MS Excel. Experience working in an environment that requires attention to detail and the adherence to strict rules and standards required. Complex problem solving, analytical and math skills. Must be able to exercise judgment and independent decision-making while adhering to prescribed regulations. Independent and self motivated worker who is able to meet strict deadlines.
Description:
General ledger account reconciliations and fund transfer functions. Perform daily reconciliations of the accounting systems to the management systems and the general ledger as well as any other downstream systems. Research reconciliation difference, obtain and evaluate supporting documentation and related reporting for validation of the balance and clear the differences. This position will provide support for the monthly close process, pre and post close variance analysis, validation and reporting. Direct contact with business partners is expected. Additional ad hoc analysis, projects and duties will be assigned on an as needed basis. You will analyze reports and explain financial data to members of the management team as required. Must be able to exercise control over general ledger activity and maintain integrity of moderately complex financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and standards. This position may assist with the development of policies and procedures from time to time.
Salary:
$19.00/hr
