Job Location: Clearwater, Florida
 Must have the following in order to apply:
  • High school Diploma/GED.
  • Five (5) years experience in the aircraft completion and/or modification industry associated with transport category aircraft.
  • Ability to read/interpret drawings, specifications, with limited supervision and generate technical data in an organized easy to read format. .
  • Experience/exposure to aircraft technical data (OEM manuals, technical drawings, specifications, etc.). 
  • Work independently with minimal supervision using good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. 
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) governing secondary structures and mechanical systems installations to transport category aircraft is a plus. 
  • Good working knowledge and experience with the following software: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Must have a positive attitude.

  • Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License.



Required Screenings:
Criminal background checks (Local & as far back as 10 years), DMV, Reference checks, Drug Testing/Screening, and a Physical examination will be performed.

Job Description:
This position requires a strong, motivated and detail oriented individual who is well organized and capable of working independently with little or no supervision.  This individual reports to the VP of Program Management.  He/she is responsible for developing proposals in response to customer request for quotations (RFQ) as well as unsolicited RFQ’s.  This individual is responsible for proposal follow up, and as a result will be in direct communication with all current customers, as well as prospective customers.  Consequently, this position requires professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.



The qualified candidate will offer, as a minimum, the following key technical skills and experience, and assist the Program Management Office in achieving objectives.  Responsibilities include but not limited to:



Essential Functions:


1.    Primary focal point for customer request for quote inquiries.

2.    Develop and submit proposals as identified above. 

3.    Responsive to all customer inquiries.

4.    Understand and provide the highest level of customer service possible while maintaining company business objectives. 

5.    Keep upper management informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications. 

6.    Effectively & professionally interface with all departments as necessary to carry out these job responsibilities. 

 

  • Evaluate the customer provided data in support of each Project level RFQ received.
  • Solicit additional information from the customer as required to develop a thorough understanding of the requested work scope effort.
  • Offer additional applicable work scope items to the customers which were not originally requested as part of the initial RFQ.
  • Prepare the proposal and cover letter for the requested work scope using  proposal templates as a starting point. 
  • Provide pertinent detail for each SOW item quoted clearly identifying what is included and what is not included in each work scope item offered.
  • Clearly identify exceptions to any of the customer provided data, referencing each document, chapter, title, etc.  Depending upon customer requirements, this may, or may not be identified in a supplemental Compliance Matrix.
  • Solicit input as required in support of developing the proposal.
  • Prepare pricing estimates based on historical data for past completed projects of similar aircraft type and which are applicable to the requested work scope. 
  • Complete customer provided attachments as requested, such as Compliance Matrix, Project Plan, etc.
  • Proof proposal and revise as required.  Submit the proposal package to the management team for review and feedback.
  • Incorporate feedback from the management team.
  • Finalize proposal and proof once again prior to converting to PDF. 
  • Submit cover letter, EXHIBIT A & B, and any requested attachments to customer. 
  • Track each submitted proposal in the proposal log.  Maintain this log with updates for all proposals submitted. 
  • Send periodic follow up email correspondence following proposal submittal.
  • Employ a continuous improvement philosophy.
  • Work and save all work on the server, and back up all work on a daily basis. 
  • Accomplish other bid and proposal activity related tasks as requested by VP of Program Management.
  • Other related activities as assigned by Program Management.
