Requisition Number 13-0092 Post Date 2/1/2013 Title Quality Manager City Wilton State NH Description SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Regional Quality Manager, develops, implements, and maintains quality management systems designed to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturing processes leading to enhanced customer delight. Provides leadership in the development, coordination and delivery of core training to all employees.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Duties may be modified or additional duties assigned. Develop close relationships with customers and suppliers in order to clearly understand customers expectations of quality. Direct and manage the divisions quality management function. Provide guidance and direction for developing and improving systems which result in increased product quality while maximizing resource utilization. Develop a documented quality system (ISO) which would assure conformance to customer product specifications. Assist in auditing and monitoring vendor supplied material to access the quality and reliability of the vendors raw material and delivery services. Work closely with engineering, production and management personnel to determine prototype quality issues. Develop a quick response communication network with customers of WS Packaging Group to track and respond to quality issues after the customer has taken delivery of the product. Interact as appropriate with technical and management staff. Provide quality consultation on process capabilities, product, design, measurement systems, tooling and manufacturing equipment. Determine and make correct fitness for use judgments on products which do not confirm to specification. Ensure compliance with government regulations dealing with Good Manufacturing Practices and Food and Drug Administration. Develop and maintain a documented Pharmaceutical Procedures manual to be used in production of pharmaceutical materials. Responsible for achieving return and allowance goals for facility. Actively participate in facility waste production programs. Responsible for staffing and operations of Quality Department. Develop, coordinate and deliver core training to all employees. Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee manual. Understand and support the Corporate Mission Statement, Values, Vision, and Operating Principles (attached). Adhere to mandatory daily stretch, safety requirements. Meet attendance standards. Practices and sustains Lean Manufacturing and 6S procedures. Treats others with respect. Accepts responsibility for own actions. Meets productivity expectations and standards.Travel: May require limited travel (daily/overnight/extended stays possible) when needed.
