Paramedic Opportunity In Beautiful York, PA
About the Position
Responds to emergency calls and performs a variety of functions related to the care and treatment of patients suffering from urgent and emergent disease and/or injury states in accordance with appropriate rules, regulations and protocols.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:
- Performs triage functions.
- Responds to emergency calls, observes safety policies and operates an emergency vehicle with due regard for others.
- Checks patient's vital signs.
- Prepares, hangs, monitors and discontinues I.V. fluids.
- Provides health care instruction/education to patient and family members.
- Prepares patients for scheduled procedures and assists in patient assessment.
Qualifications
- Certification as Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic in PA
- ACLS certification
- Strong communication skills
- Medical Command Authorization
- Must posses a valid driver’s license
