Clinical Supervisor- Rehabilitation Services Opportunity
Supporting the Establishment of the WellSpan Specialty Hospital
About the Position
This position will work collaboratively with the development team for the WellSpan Specialty Hospital (anticipated opening in 2011) to identify, design, and implement best practices for therapy services. Develops departmental pre and post opening activation plans including customization of an automated documentation system. Collaborates with the development team on hospital-wide operations plans and facility culture. This position will also be responsible for clinical practice in areas to be determined.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:
- Ensures the delivery of quality inpatient rehabilitation services by identifying patient needs and developing quality rehabilitation programs.
- Supervises and coordinates the activities of clinical staff in carrying out treatment programs for patients.
- Analyzes and recommends changes for improvement in program content.
- Assists in formulating and screening Quality Assurance criteria and providing in-service training for staff.
- Consults with other medical, nursing and administrative staff on a regular basis to coordinate patient care.
- Directs and develops approved procedures for inpatient rehabilitation services.
- Assigns patients to staff therapists and reviews patient's progress to ensure that the highest quality of patient care is being provided.
- Develops treatment plans for patients. Monitors progress and treatment level.
Qualifications
- Physical Therapist license
- Excellent interpersonal/communications skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior supervisory experience
