Staff Pharmacist Opportunity In Beautiful York, PA
About the Position
Under general supervision, provides prescribed pharmaceuticals and drug information as needed for adequate patient care according to professional standards and practices
The qualified candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:
- Compounds pharmaceutical preparations and/or labels and packages medications and pharmaceuticals.
- Assists with and/or supervises IV preparation and/or delivery.
- Advises patients and medical/nursing staff on use of various medications including dosage, side effects, composition, drug-to-drug interactions, drug-to-allergy interactions and drug-to-food interactions.
- Ensures proper controls and records of narcotics and other controlled substances as required by state and federal law.
- Monitors drug therapy to identify, prevent or resolve actual or potential drug therapy problems. Addresses problems with physicians and/or nurses when indicated.
- Provides clinical pharmacy services as needed.
Qualifications
- Pharmacy license
- Strong communication and written skills
- Pharmacy Bachelor`s Degree
- Strong computer skills

Required Skills
Completion of 5 year program from an accredited school of pharmacy and applicable license and registration.
