Pharmacy Technician Opportunity In Beautiful York, PA
About the Position
Under the supervision and direction of the pharmacy supervisor/staff pharmacist, fills and/or compounds routine orders for pharmaceuticals and non pharmaceutical items and other related duties.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:
- Assists appropriate supervisors and pharmacists in all aspects of dispensing of medicinal and non-medicinal items.
- Assists customers and performs technical duties as required. Make deliveries to customers per job site requirements.
- Submits, receives and checks in orders from suppliers as needed.
- Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications.
- Assists with I.V. preparation and delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience, preferably in a hospital pharmacy
- Strong communication skills
- Computer skills
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred; (required within 6 months of accepting position)

Required Skills
Basic to Intermediate Computer Skills including the ability to learn new systems
Required Experience
Minimum 1 2 years Pharmacy Technician experience, preferably in a hospital/inpatient setting
Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred; (required within 6 months of accepting position)
