Salary: 110,000 to 160,000
Responsibilities •Support Operation Risks Assessments for firm on an ongoing basis by understanding key processes in each business and ensuring risks are properly identified, calculated and reported. In addition, communicate with management stakeholders across businesses to ensure complete awareness of Ops Risk Framework and participation in Risk Self Assessment Process. •Continual monitoring and reporting to businesses/risk committee using targeted risk assessments, KPIs, trend analysis and incident follow up •Observe market developments impacting firm’s risk profile, specifically those regarding firm services and new business initiatives. Classify and asses these risks, for both internal/external audiences through thorough documentation, ensuring complete adherence according to firm policy. •Work with internal risk managers to verify business adherence to internal policies and verify all policies/procedures meet compliance requirements/guidelines. •Participate in relevant business initiatives when necessary

Our client, a growing Broker/Dealer firm, seeks an Operational Risk Manager to lead the implementation and advance existing programs improving firms risk profile. The Hired candidate will work across businesses and with internal-stakeholders/external regulators to ensure the success of current and new business initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications Bachelors Degree in accounting/finance or related discipline with 4-8 years of experience in an operational risk or relevant function. Demonstrated experience establishing frameworks and processes as required by Basel and overall industry practices. Exposure to SOX, Federal Reserve Requirements and demonstrated experience implementing a firm-wide incident reporting process. Ability to operate in an independent manner without close supervision is essential as assessments must be sound and must contain a thorough command of the risk regime of the company. Understanding of priorities and adherence to deadlines. Strong public speaking and communications skills a must for management presentations.
