Vice President of Asset Based Lending will underwrite new asset based loans to corporate and industrial borrowers in leveraged buyout, distressed, recapitalization or high growth situations.<li>ALB underwriter will complete a comprehensive loan financing memorandum and facilitating the loan approval process<li>Assess the creditworthiness of prospective clients by working closely with the Business Development Officers, Relationship Managers, Senior Credit Officers and management.<li>Develop a solid working relationship with prospective borrowers, key referral sources (Private equity firms, investment banks, bank groups, syndication groups, etc.) and other potential senior/junior lending partners. <li>Coordinate and schedule and analyze appraisals, valuations and field examinations. <li><li> This position will facilitate the loan approval process prior to credit committee approval. Post approval coordinates the take-over field examination and documentation.

ABL Underwriter will transaction oriented; asset based lending; complex and interesting financing structures for companies in LBO, turnaround, recapitalization and high growth situations. Pure lending. No origination pressure nor cross selling of bank products/services.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of five years experience in Asset Based Lending. ABL Underwriting experience required, including legal documentation and loan closing experience. Oriented toward a deal driven environment and be capable of managing multiple transactions simultaneously under tight time pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure/experience within the leveraged cash flow or asset based lending business is helpful but not required. Business/Accounting/Finance/Economics degree preferred. MBA a plus. Some travel required.
