Our client, a publicly-traded banking & financial services company, is seeking a Senior Accountant responsible for assisting with the accounting and financial reporting of the company. This position works closely with the Controller, Assistant Controller, Financial Reporting Manager and other accounting staff to complete projects, assist in implementation of accounting standards, and SEC and regulatory financial reporting. This position also works with external and internal auditors and examiners to assist in fielding questions and providing supporting documents in a timely and professional manner. Position ensures SOX compliance, Bank policies and procedures, and all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and five (5) years or more related experience. Work related experience should consist of an accounting or finance background preferably in the Financial Services industry. CPA license and a minimum of two years public accounting experience, or 7+ years with progressively increased responsibility and supervisory experience at an SEC registrant in the financial services industry is strongly desired. An excellent knowledge of SEC and ASC reporting requirements required. Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other bank operational policies required. Experience with preparation of audited financial statements, SEC reporting, related table and supporting documentation.
